Mutual assistance in the event of illness
ARTABANA societies make possible the providing of health care on a basis of both autonomous responsibility and solidarity. ARTABANA is a society formed by individuals who recognise each other’s individual decision-making freedom and responsibility – extending to financial aspects – with regard to issues of health maintenance and healthcare treatment.
ARTABANA members uphold the principle that every human being is an individual, and as such experiences health and illness as an individual. Every individual should be able to go his or her own way in seeking health.
ARTABANA societies are modestly sized local and regional mutual solidarity organisations whose members enjoy equal rights of democratic co-determination.
ARTABANA is a union of individuals devoted to supporting each other’s efforts to regain and maintain health. These individuals cultivate a responsible and sound approach to health and healing by sharing healthcare and prevention costs and standing by each other with many other forms of help and assistance.
